When the going gets tough….

….the tough get going. That is our new slogan at Texas Envelope Company for 2009. These are tough times so for us to survive we are going to have to be better than our competition. If you want to survive in tough times, hard work and creative thinking will get you there. For example, we had a job for Acura recently. 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 booklet envelope on 100# opaque, printed solid black double bump. When we folded the envelopes they cracked on the scores and folds. We came up with a great idea. Run the envelopes thru the press upside down so that the score is on the top (print side). Then run them back thru and print a little water on the scores with the inside tint printer and guess what… the cracking was minimal. We could have given up and blamed bad paper or print but we came up with a soulution that helped us and our customer. That is what we are all about. Till next time….stay tough!
